People dug deep in their pockets to help out victims of the storms that tore through parts of the state last week.
A fundraiser for those victims is happening right now at Hal and Mal's in downtown Jackson.
More than 10 different restaurants came together and said what can we do to help these victims and they came up with the event, One Mississippi.
All the donations will go to those who went through devastation last week after the severe weather.
This tornado relief effort is happening in the green space next to Hal and Mal's.
Here's how it works, people can buy tickets that can be used to get food from a variety of restaurants, cocktails or beer.
The event also includes live music and a silent auction.
We caught up with some people who came out to help the cause.
"You know we were really fortunate to not be affected by the tornadoes and whatever we can do, if we can get out and help some people who are struggling today it's worth it," said Lesley Mchardy of Jackson.
Some of the restaurants involved include Hal and Mals, Parlor Market, Walkers Drive -in and Fondren Public.
