DENVER, May 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Denver Pavilions will add three exciting new tenants to downtown Denver's largest and most productive retail, dining and entertainment center. IT'SUGAR, Henry's Tavern and Native Foods Cafe will join Denver Pavilions' dynamic merchant mix.

"We are pleased to announce these three new leases, which are excellent examples of the quality first-in-market and best-in-class restaurants and retail industry leaders we continue to attract," said Mark Sidell, President of Gart Properties. "Henry's Tavern has captured loyal followers with its versatile menu, large draft beer and cider selection and relaxed, upscale tavern atmosphere. Native Foods Cafe will be serving great-tasting food that will please vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. And world-renowned IT'SUGAR is going to make downtown Denver even more fun and little sweeter."

IT'SUGAR, one of the largest and fastest growing specialty candy and gift retailers in the world, is the exclusive home to several of the world's largest boxes of candy including The World's Largest Box of Nerds, The World's Largest SweeTarts Candy, and The World's Largest Box of Pop Rocks. Featuring an array of choices that will please just about anyone, IT'SUGAR offers candy from every category including gummy, chocolate, sour, old skool and more. Never one to stop at a candy rush alone, IT'SUGAR also boasts an incredible array of fashion and novelty items for all other aspects of life like fun tech accessories, licensed products and gifts, and other playful and adventurous items.  Opening in late summer, this will be the first Colorado location for the company.

"IT'SUGAR is an extravaganza for the senses; a place where people can indulge," said Jeff Rubin, CEO and Founder of IT'SUGAR.   "We encourage people to come in and take selfies while shopping for tempting treats-it's all about having fun.  All of us at IT'SUGAR are thrilled to be a part of the outstanding lineup of retail, dining and entertainment offerings at Denver Pavilions. This will be our first location in the Colorado market, joining over sixty other IT'SUGAR worldwide locations."

Opening its doors in the original Blitz-Weinhard Brewing Complex in 2004, Henry's Tavern quickly became a Portland, Oregon, institution. With an extensive selection of more than 100 local, regional and international beer and hard cider offerings, along with a robust menu of innovative tavern fare, Henry's Tavern will have a broad appeal to Denver residents and tourists alike. Opening in late 2014, this will be the company's first and only Colorado location.

"Henry's Tavern fans have long been asking for a Denver location," said Chris Harter, President & CEO of Restaurants Unlimited, Inc., which owns and operates the popular tavern. "We believe it has been worth the wait to find such an ideal site for our first Colorado store. We're excited to bring our diverse, innovative tavern fare, outstanding beer selection and urban tavern atmosphere to Denver Pavilions."

Founded in 1994 in Palm Springs, California, Native Foods Cafe has grown to become America's premier fast-casual vegan restaurant, serving made-from-scratch, chef-crafted cuisine. Featuring original recipes of fresh and organic plant-based menu items, Native Foods Cafe makes its own tempeh, the main ingredient for many of its signature dishes. The restaurant was recently named Best Vegetarian Restaurant in Denver by Denver Westword. Their Denver Pavilions location is slated to open in late 2014.

"Native Foods Cafe's expansion across the nation promotes its mission to help the country make a lighter footprint by doing the most social thing we know: EATING!" said Andrea McGinty, Co-owner of Native Foods Cafe. Our menu aims to please the palates of vegans and non-vegans alike, with seasonal updates of hearty dishes, delicious desserts and homemade beverages inspired by the travels of our chefs."

All of the new tenants are scheduled to open this year.  This new flurry of leasing activity follows the recent opening of Colorado's first Grimaldi's Pizzeria, 5280 Burger Bar and Lime Cantina & Tequila Bar at Denver Pavilions.
