Former JPD officer gets 25 months for bribery

A warm, humid Tuesday afternoon in the Jackson metro area. I'm Howard Ballou with a look at some of the news stories you will see on WLBT.

Former Jackson Police Officer Tony Davis, of Clinton, was sentenced to 25 months in federal prison for bribery. He was also ordered to pay a $5,000.00 fine.

Attorney General Jim Hood joins the Mississippi Chiefs of Police in hosting the fourth annual "Mississippi Fallen Law Enforcement Officer's Candlelight Vigil".

Plus, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service says five crawfish species found in Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi are still common and have been dropped from a petition seeking endangered status, but a sixth needs protection.
