RANKIN COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Rankin County Sheriff's office has confirmed they have arrested the suspects who bailed out, Wednesday afternoon, at a traffic stop.

Victor Manuel Santacruz-Villanueva and Daniel Ramirez-Correa are both facing two counts of possession of controlled substance with intent and resisting arrest.

They were picked up around 8:30, Thursday morning, near I-20, mile marker 54.

Two of their friends will also face charges.

Santacruz-Villenueva and Evelyn Canales will both be facing felony accessory after the fact and conspiracy charges.  All four are being held at the Rankin County jail without bond pending their initial appearance before County Court Judge McDaniel.

Around 2PM Wednesday, a Rankin County Deputy stopped a 2004 Ford F150 traveling eastbound on I-20 for misdemeanor traffic violations. It happened near the Rankin-Scott county line.

The deputy approached the vehicle and obtained identification.

After returning to his patrol vehicle to run a check on the individuals, they both exited the vehicle and one ran into the woods south of the interstate and the other crossed over the interstate and fled into the woods north of the interstate.

A manhunt was initiated by local, state and Federal officers.

Metro One was able to assist with the search of the wooded area.

K-9 teams from the Rankin County Sheriff's Office and Pearl Police Department were deployed into the woods in an attempt to locate the individuals.

The suspects were identified as Victor Manuel Santacruz-Villanueva and Daniel Ramirez-Correa based on their identification cards.

The manhunt continued while lighting conditions permitted and a saturation detail was conducted after nightfall.  The suspects remained at large.

A search of the Ford pickup revealed approximately 4 kilos of cocaine and 2 kilos of methamphetamine.

On Thursday, the Rankin County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call from a driver who saw a red 2011 Toyota passenger vehicle parked on the shoulder of I-20 westbound near the Rankin-Scott line.

The driver then saw a male run from the wood line enter the vehicle and the vehicle drove away.

The driver allowed the vehicle to pass, was able to read the vehicle tag and called 911.

The driver was then able to follow the suspect vehicle relaying information until it was stopped by Brandon Police on I-20.

Both individuals from the previous day's manhunt were occupants of the vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Eugenio Santacruz-Villenueva, brother of Victor Manuel Santacruz-Villanueva.

There was also a female passenger in the vehicle identified as Evelyn Canales, from Stafford Texas.

Now all four are being held at the Rankin County jail without bond pending their initial appearance before County Court Judge McDaniel.
