Ashley Garner

"There's no place like home", says Pearl, MS native, Ashley Garner, as she remains excited about fulfilling her dream of delivering news in her home state.

Ashley is a graduate of Pearl High School where she was a member of the award winning Pearl "Pirate" band. In 2001 she moved to the Crescent City to attend Xavier University of Louisiana, where she graduated with a degree in mass communication. While at XU, she worked as an anchor and reporter for the campus news show, "XTV News".

Ashley joined the WLBT news team in 2007 as an Associate Producer. In 2011, she stepped from behind the camera and into the field as a multi-media journalist.

When she is not in the field chasing stories, Ashley loves spending time with loved ones, volunteering, reading, traveling and eating.
