On Tuesday afternoon, members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, Toledo Police and Lucas County Sheriff's Office arrested Jacob Edmond, who was wanted for his connection to an Adrian shooting back in May.
Edmond, 27, is accused in a shooting incident on May 9 that occurred by Bob and Harriet Parish Park. Police allege that Edmond was a passenger in an SUV which pulled up to a group of people at the park. Edmond was identified as one of the passengers who took part in the shooting, which injured two people, leaving one in critical condition.
Through investigation, law enforcement learned that Edmond had fled Adrian and was at a house on Collomore Road in west Toledo. Around 4 p.m., law enforcement approached the house and arrested Edmond without incident.
He was transported to the Lucas County Jail and is currently awaiting extradition back to Michigan. He faces three counts of felonious assault.
U.S. Marshals say Edmond has a violent criminal history and was released in November from the Michigan Department of Corrections after serving more than five years in prison on drug, assault and resisting police charges.
"This arrest is the perfect example of cooperation between federal, state and local law enforcement," said Pete Elliott, U.S. Marshal for the Northern District of Ohio, "And the commitment of those agencies to apprehend dangerous felons wanted for violent crimes."
Reginald Williams was also wanted in the shooting before turning himself in to police shortly after the incident.
