Graham: DA will further investigate tea party courthouse incident

Posted: Updated:
JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Hinds County Supervisor Robert Graham is asking District Attorney Robert Shuler Smith to investigate the events surrounding three tea party members who were locked inside the Hinds County Courthouse in the early-morning hours of June 4.

"There are just too many questions left unanswered and I have a great concern for WHY people were inside the Hinds County Courthouse after hours," said Graham. "There must be accountability."

Supervisor Graham sent a formal letter of request to D.A. Robert Shuler Smith on today, June 6, 2014.  Graham says the District Attorney has agreed to investigate the situation further.
