Geneva Watch Group Appoints Another Seasoned Marketing Executive to Drive Brand Awareness

NEW YORK, June 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Geneva Watch Group announced today that it has appointed Claire Powell as Executive Vice President of Marketing.  Powell has significant experience in brand building, product development and general management across apparel, consumer packaging goods and beauty categories. 

Powell is a seasoned marketer with a strong history of driving brand awareness.  Her marketing roles have included directing the Bali Intimates brand (re-launching it under the "live beautifully" platform), and leading the Champion brand for five years driving double digit growth through a renewed brand positioning and activation strategy.  This led to a position as General Manager of Champion Activewear, a $600MM business unit of Hanesbrand Inc.  The opportunity to expand into new categories took Powell to California to work for Schiff Nutrition where she ran four nutritional supplement brands including Airborne and MegaRed with a combined advertising/marketing spend of $100MM.

Most recently, Claire was Chief Operating Officer of American Giant, an ecommerce apparel brand in San Francisco.  During the organization's rapid, start-up growth phase, Powell successfully established the brand architecture and product development structure.
