The hidden cash phenomenon sweeping the west coast on Twitter, has now landed in Mississippi.
This week someone has started tweeting locations of money hidden around the metro.
It all started with a Tweet of a boat in front of Bass Pro Shops from a person with the twitter handle @freecashms.
Within minutes, a handful of people were searching the boat top to bottom, trying to find the free hidden cash.
Jack White was the first to find it, and now he's $50.00 richer.
He was sent to search by his wife while on break from work.
He says he plans to spend the money on his family.
Jack White said, "Hey that helps everything. I have two kids so every little bit helps."
People continued to show up to search for the cash, even after White found the loot.
Amy Rummage said, "I think that's the nicest thing I've ever heard. I think it's awesome that someone's willing to do that and it's fun and it gives me something to do. It's fun to see if you can go find the money even if it was 10-20 bucks, that would pay for a meal out somewhere."
We tweeted at free cash Mississippi to see who was behind this local money giveaway.
He messaged us back saying he was just a normal guy, hoping people will have some fun and use the money to brighten someone else's day.
Stay tuned to Twitter to see if there's a cash drop in your near future.
