WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -

An early morning fire at the Colonial Grand Apartments has been determined to be intentionally set, according to officials.

Multiple fire departments responded to calls around 5:30 a.m. Thursday of a fire at the Colonial Grand Apartments at 808 Saint Andrews Drive, near Carolina Beach Road.

According to officials, the small, outside fire was contained to the first floor of the complex and was put out by firefighters.

All residents were evacuated from the complex, and there are no reports of any injuries resulting from the fire.

According to a press release, investigators have determined that the fire was intentionally set. The Wilmington Police Department, along with the WFD, will continue investigating the fire.

Damage has been estimated at $1,500.

This is the third fire at the Colonial Grand Apartments since January, and the second fire this month alone.
