LYMAN, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies said they are looking for a man after he was seen running from a Lyman home and his wife was found stabbed.

Dispatch said the stabbing was reported at a home on Lilly Lane in Lyman.

According to Spartanburg County deputies, they were called to the home by a family member for a welfare check and as they arrived, they saw a man running away on foot.

Sheriff's Office spokesperson Lt. Tony Ivey said the man's wife had been stabbed and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Ivey identified the husband as 43-year-old Christopher Middleton. He said Middleton has arrest warrants for attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Ivey said the Middleton was last seen running from the home wearing a yellow hoodie, white shirt and green shorts.

Deputies were out looking for him with bloodhounds.

Anyone with information on Middleton's whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 888-CRIME-SC.
