(WMC) - Shelby County Health Department wants to remind parents about the county's immunization requirements before the new school year begins.
The following individuals will need to receive immunizations:
- Kids attending a child care facility
- Kids going to pre-K, kindergarten
- Students entering 7th grade
- New students to Tennessee
- Students attending higher education
No appointments are required for immunization-only clinic visits. Fees range from $20-$50 depending on how many immunizations your child needs. Costs could increase for people 18 and older.
If you are bringing a child for immunizations, bring the child's documentation of insurance coverage, including those on TennCare. If you do not have your child's shot records, call SCHD Immunization program at 901-222-9329 or call their doctor.
