JULIA'S FORECAST: Sunny skies and lower humidity!

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Today is one of those days where you  step outside and wonder, "Is this really mid July?" It's unusual to see such pleasant humidity levels and temperatures this time of year! The air stays dry today, the skies sunny, and high temperatures reach the low to mid 80s: about 5 to 10 degrees cooler than our average July 16th high temp.

Skies are starry tonight as our weather keeps quiet. We'll dip down to the low 60s before rebounding to the mid and high 80s for Thursday. Thursday will be a lovely day as well, but the heat and humidity will start to build in.

By Friday, we'll be watching as energy in the upper level of the atmosphere combines with a frontal boundary lifting through the area. What does that mean for us? Well, rain and thunder. We'll see a much warmer and wetter pattern through the weekend as a result.
