Teen accused of injuring deputy by ramming his car

WARREN COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

18-year-old Brandon Heath Pickering has been charged with aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer and felony eluding in relation to a weekend incident.

Authorities say they attempted to pull him over, Saturday night, after he rolled through a stop sign.

He apparently took off and led Warren County deputies on a chase.

They say, once they got him 'boxed in' on Whatley Rd he rammed a deputy's car.

The suspect's car got stuck, and he was taken into custody.

Deputy Wesley Miller's wrist was injured. He was treated and released from a local hospital.

While Pickering was out on bond a the time from felony charges, the Sheriff says they really have no idea why he would run.
