Adams County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a break in overnight at the Ernst Pharmacy, on Highland Boulevard, in Natchez.
Deputies were called to the pharmacy to investigate some suspicious activity. When they arrived, they found that the iron gate in the alley between the two buildings was open and that metal siding along the building has been pulled back.
When owner William Ernst arrived he discovered that several containers of Hydrocodone, Phenergan and Codeine were missing.
Ernst said that his son received an email from the alarm company around 3 a.m. stating that a camera outside the building had been tampered with, but waited more than an hours to report the suspicious activity.
Ernst also said that the alarm system didn't alert him when the suspects entered the building.
The suspects were caught on camera wearing gloves and a mask. They appeared to be driving a black SUV. The case is under investigation.
