JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL) -  A chaotic scene at a Johnson City Walmart over the weekend leads to a teenagers arrest.  Witnesses say a 17-year-old was acting disoriented at the Walmart off Browns Mill Road.

For Cory Malukiewicz it started out as any other Saturday night, a trip to Walmart, just to grab a pizza.

"Its still shocking the way that everything happened in this video," said Malukiewicz.

In the end, it turned out to be anything but an ordinary night at the grocery store, and Malukiewicz caught it all on his cell phone camera.

He showed us the four minute long video, in it you can see police holding down a 17-year-old juvenile.

We visited the Johnson City Police Department on Sunday and spoke to Sergeant Sam Reed. He gave us an idea of what lead up to police restraining the teen.

"Based on the report and his actions, I would guess he was definitely under the influence of some kind of hallucinogen or some other kind of drug," said Reed.

Reed says when officers arrived to a disturbance call, they found it was much more. Inside the store witnesses say the teenager appeared to be disoriented and confused. Sergeant Reed laid out what witnesses say happened next.

"He went outside the doors of Walmart where a lady was standing there, and tried to take her purse from her," said Reed.

But it didn't stop there, Reed says according to the police report, the teen then ran into an 8-year-old, causing minor injuries, and would continue out to the parking lot.

"The subject turned and there was a car parked there, and he reaches inside the car and grabs another male juvenile between the legs," said Reed.

Jared Lyons was right by Malukiewicz's side, watching the events unfold.

"When it started to get too out of hand, we realized alright, alright it was time to start to get back," said Lyons.

Lyons said even as a bystander, the incident shook him up a little bit.

"It happens L.A., New York, and you see it happen right here in your hometown and you think its kind of scary," said Lyons.

Sergeant Reed says the incident appears to be isolated, and nothing for the public to be concerned about.

"Back when the bath salts were prevalent in this area we had various incidents like this, but not something like that in quite a while," said Reed.

A sight like this may not be common in Johnson City, but for Lyons and Malukiewicz this is one Saturday night they say they will never forget.

Johnson City Police says as of now the juvenile is facing four charges including robbery, sexual battery, simple assault, and child abuse.
