JULIA'S FORECAST: Typical summer weather!

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Good morning! Our summertime pattern continues today. Temperatures are right around (or even a degree or two above) the seasonal average for this time of year in the low 90s. Given that we'll have a good deal of humidity it will likely feel more like upper 90s to low 100s.

Let's talk about what the sky will be doing today. In the morning, we'll likely see sun and our typical AM haze. Clouds will build throughout the course of the morning and early afternoon. The growing cloud structures will eventually give way to rain and thunderstorms in some areas, although it doesn't look widespread. Any storm that does develop could potentially become severe with gusty winds and hail. Stay weather aware!

The sun sets a bit before 8pm and with the loss of daytime heat we'll also lose the activity on the radar. Expect showers to diminish through the evening and overnight. Low temps will be in the low 70s.

Wednesday will be hot (mid 90s) and humid with PM showers yet again! In fact, that's the trend for the next seven days. We'll be a tad warmer than average with a chance for rain and thunder every afternoon.
