Jobs for Jacksonians recruiting session to help residents looking for work

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Jobs for Jacksonians is holding another recruiting session.

Jackson residents who need to get back to work are encouraged to attend the Jobs for Jacksonians recruiting session Wednesday morning at 10 at the Metrocenter Mall.

It will be held in the conference room of the Department of Human and Cultural Services. G & K Services, a uniform rental and facility services company, will be recruiting through the program this week.

They're looking to hire a production supervisor, steam tunnel operators and workers for stockroom utility.

Each month major companies are invited to interview Jackson citizens in hopes of hiring them.

The program also offers job readiness workshops, job search and placement assistance and an annual job fair.

Other services, such as assistance with writing a professional resume, leadership and professional development and interviewing improvement techniques are also available.

If you are a Jacksonian looking for work you are encouraged to attend the event and be sure to bring your resume and a copy of your ID.
