UPDATE: Missing Emporia man found dead

EMPORIA, VA (WWBT) -

The Greensville County Sheriff's Office now tells us a 66-year-old man who went missing Friday has been found dead.

Deputies say Joseph Thomas Hooley was found Saturday a short distance away from his residence in a wooded area with what appeared to be a gun shot wound. He was last seen around 7:30 a.m. Friday by his wife. According to deputies, his wife said Hooley was in the early stages of Alzheimer's.

The investigation continues in reference to Mr. Hooley's death.  If anyone has any information regarding this matter, please contact the Greensville County Sheriff's Office at 434-348-4200.

    Henrico Police say they're looking for a man, who tried to rape a woman at a park. The incident happened around 10:55 a.m. Saturday, at Cheswick Park on Forest Avenue.
