JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

It might be the most ambitious reality show ever.

In the new Fox series, Utopia, 15 Americans will leave their lives for one year, move to a remote location, and try to create a society from scratch.

Based on a Dutch television series, UTOPIA asks the question: "If you could restart the world, what would you do differently?"

Each contestant brings a unique skill set and ideal to Utopia. A lawyer, a preacher, a contractor, a chef, an ex-con and a soon-to-be-mom are among those seeking to build this new society.

They'll have limited supplies, diverse backgrounds, and "zero bathrooms;" and one of them will be from Mississippi.

Aaron Thomas is a 25-year-old chef from Oxford.

According to Fox promotional material, the former Army officer "knows what a good meal can mean to a hungry community. A hopeless romantic and fantastic forager, Aaron envisions a Utopia free of class divisions and full of nuts and berries."

Utopia will premiere on Sunday night, September 7 (on Fox 40.)

Its regular night will be Tuesday nights, with some specials scheduled for Fridays.

You'll also be able to witness life in UTOPIA with 24/7 access to live streaming video, episodes and exclusive content on UtopiaTV.com and the Utopia App.

The UTOPIA App will be available for iOS, Android and Windows on Friday, Aug. 29.
