JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

We last talked with this week's Wednesday's Child in 2008. Adrian is now 17 years old and still waiting for the special family who will give him a permanent home.

Adrian said, "my favorite animal is cats, and ..And guess, F-O-X."

That was Adrian in December of 2008.  This is Adrian now.  He has grown up quite a bit and is not as talkative.  He did tell us what he likes to do.

Adrian told us, "play basketball. Do some other stuff . Reporter: Do you have a favorite basketball team, do you watch like the NBA? Adrian said, Houston."

Adrian says his favorite subject is math. He told his social workers math helps him in his everyday life and helps him to manage his money. He has already decided how he will earn money when he grows up.

Adrian said, "work on electronics."

Adrian enjoys playing video games. He especially likes the Play Station 3 and says he can spend hours  working the controls.

Adrian explained, "well if I don't have nothing to do that day sure.  Just to be quiet, yeah."

Adrian has expressed a strong desire to be adopted.  Adoption workers say the family Adrian needs will not look at him from the outside, but will see him for who he is.  He will need parents who are devoted to him.

Adrian said, "Respect. Reporter: what about kind? Adrian:  Kind. Reporter: And show you lots of love."

Adrian has been waiting for years to be a part of a family.  He is hoping he will finally have his own home and parents.
