Third suspect arrested in MS College armed robbery

CLINTON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The third suspect in an armed robbery on the Mississippi College campus last month has been apprehended by the U.S. Marshal's Task Force. Umneon Ramone Thomas was transferred to Clinton Police custody Friday Morning.

Twenty-one year old Thomas, of Bolton, is charged with one count of armed robbery.

Twenty-three year old Corey Gillespie Booth of Jackson was arrested September 3 and charged with armed robbery.

Twenty-one year old Conessia Samuel of Jackson was also arrested September 3 and  charged with accessory after the fact.

Two female students were walking from their dorm to a nearby parking lot around 9:40 p.m. August 29 when they were approached by a black male. Officials said the man took personal belongings of both women. The two students were able to escape without injury.

Around 9:50 p.m. suspects pulled into the parking lot of Murphy's Express, located at 2709 Greenway Drive in Jackson in front of the Wal-Mart. The suspects attempted to use a stolen credit/debit card at the gas station and attempted to withdraw money from an ATM in the parking lot of the gas station.
