JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The BankPlus International Gumbo Festival is back again!

You still have two hours to enjoy music and gumbo.

The event is going on until 7 p.m. Saturday at Smith Park in downtown Jackson.

Contestants were cooking earlier and being judged. Those in attendance are able to sample the gumbo from each contestant!

Live music from North Mississippi Allstars, Big Sam's Funky Nation, The Wild  Magnolias, Soulshine Family Band featuring Andrew Pates, and Fondren Guitars Student Rock Band.

Proceeds raised from the gumbo cook off will be donated to the Harold T. and Hal White Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Tickets are $10 and children under 10 will be admitted for free.
