Agents of the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, along with Yazoo County Sheriff's investigators are asking for your help locating a person of interest in connection with the armed robbery of the Dollar General Store located on Highway 16 East in Benton.

Investigators want to talk with 22-year-old Trent Cordelle Weathersby of 110 Elcrest Street in Jackson.

Around 8:00 p.m. Saturday, September 13th, a lone gunman entered the store and demanded money.

He was armed with a nickel-plated handgun.

He is described as a light-skinned black male, approximately six feet to six feet, two inches tall and weighing between 180 and 200 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a lime green pull-over shirt, blue jeans and black tennis shoes with lime green laces.

He was wearing a baseball hat with a lime green bill with the letters "LA" on the front.

He also used a black and white stripped cloth to hide his face.

The gunman was believed to have been struck and injured by a vehicle in the parking lot while on foot leaving the store.

Authorities are also looking for a white economy car with Illinois license plates, which may have been used in the gunman's escape.
