Mississippi Children's Museum hosts annual Halloween event

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Kick off the fall holiday season with spooky science and early trick-or-treating!

The Mississippi Children's Museum (MCM), in collaboration with Mississippi Museum of Natural Science (MMNS) and Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Park (MDWFP), plans to host the Park after Dark Halloween event on Friday, October 24, from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

For only $8 a person, families can participate in spooky science crafts, and trick-or-treat throughout both museums.

Local vendors will have items for sale, and families are encouraged to dress up for the costume contests.

"We truly have something for all ages at this wonderful family-friendly event.  Children can travel the haunted hallway and meet a witch, or see the mermaid swim in our aquariums," said Special Events Director, Nicole Smith.

Tickets will be available online only on MCM's website prior to the event, and at both museums on the night of the event starting at 5:30 p.m.
