They provide care for the children who are often forgotten; older children or sibling groups who still hope to find a forever family.

Supporters of Southern Christian Services for Children and Youth attended the 26th annual Bottom Line for Kids Benefit Dinner and Auction.  They heard from one of the families who opened their hearts and home to a sibling group of 3, and a young man who has grown up in their care.

This benefit and the money raised help to provide services to children and families in Mississippi.

"Without it we don't have the funds necessary to be able to provide the daily care that we do for the children that we have in our services both in our PALS House here in Jackson on Manhattan Street which is our home for homeless children, and also the funds generate further to our group homes in Fulton and Grenada also for our therapeutic foster care children," said SCSCY Board President George Nicols.

Covenant Presbyterian Church and local businessmen Lee Bush and Jeff Good were also recognized Tuesday night for their work with the group and for their commitment to the children of Mississippi.
