JULIA'S FORECAST: Gray and Muggy to Start the Day

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Our weather pattern has changed! After the relief from humidity and sunshine that we had last week, we now return to cloudier skies and increased warmth and mugginess.

Highs today will reach the mid 80s, around 3-5 degrees warmer than average for this time of year. Expect a good amount of gray in the sky along with a sticky feel. Occasional sprinkles are possible, with showers a tad more likely for those south of highway 84.

Rain seems highly unlikely for Tuesday, but extra sun should boost the temperatures even hotter. We'll be very humid with a high in the upper 80s. The thermometer could reach the 90 degree mark mid-week.

Another weather change will begin to take place when winds pick up Wednesday night, and rain chances increase on Thursday. Rain and storms are likely on Friday as a cold front swings through, dropping our temperatures and humidity just in time for the weekend.
