Patient in Texas hospital tests positive for Ebola

Tuesday afternoon is much warmer with a few clouds in the Jackson metro area. I'm Howard Ballou with a look at some of the news stories you will see on WLBT.

A patient hospitalized in Dallas has tested positive for Ebola, CNN reports. The patient had been undergoing testing after being placed in isolation at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital on Monday.

Also, Brookhaven Police say they responded to a call of gun shots being fired at 1:03pm this afternoon and found the body of 36-year-old Gregory James in the yard in the 200 block of Washington Street.

And, Richland Police would like your help identifying the man in the attached pictures in this link, in connection with a potential credit card fraud that occurred during September.

Plus, the 155th Mississippi State Fair kicks off this week and the whole state is anxiously waiting to set foot on the fairgrounds. The fair will last from October 1 - 12.
