JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Jackson firefighters were busy Wednesday morning battling 4 separate house fires.

Around 4:30 fire broke out at a vacant home on Olin Street near Pearl Street.

Smoke was still billowing from the roof when our crew arrived.

About an hour later, another vacant home went up in flames on Martin Luther King Drive and Marine Street.

Investigators say the fire was intentionally set.

However, they have no suspects at this time.

Shortly after six a.m., firefighters were called to another house fire on Marshall Place.

Flames were shooting from the roof when firefighters arrived.

We're told no one was at the home when the fire started.

The cause of that fire remains under investigation.

And then another fire was reported around7 amm on Valley North.

Jackson Fire Department Chief Investigator Greg Travis says the fire was out when firefighters arrived.
