JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -  Attorney General Jim Hood announced today that a DeSoto County resident has been arrested and charged with child exploitation for allegedly possessing child pornography.

34-year-old Jeremy Gregg from Hernando was arrested this past Wednesday at his home.  The arrest was made through the Attorney General's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Gregg was booked into the DeSoto County Detention Center and his bond was set at $500,000.  If convicted, he faces up to 40 years behind bars.  

As with all cases, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
