JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) - A man charged with murder was in front of a judge again today in Hinds County. This time, for aggravated assault charges he was facing before he was picked up for the deadly shooting.

Twenty-one year old DeMarco Wolfe has been locked up in the Hinds County Detention Center since September, charged with a murder that happened back in June.

"This person is definitely someone we consider to be on our most-dangerous list," said Hinds County District Attorney Robert Shuler Smith.

Smith says Wolfe was once again in front of a judge, this time for unrelated charges that stem from a 2013 armed robbery and aggravated assault case.

Jackson Police Detective Darrell Owens took the stand testifying Wolfe helped the victim buy a handgun from a third person. Once the purchase was made Wolfe took the gun, turning on the victim.

When the victim didn't give him any money, Wolfe shot him in the leg, kept the gun, and took his car.

He was still on the run when police say he shot and killed 24 year old Terrance Green of Terry, back in June.

"This guy is very, in our opinion, is a very dangerous person and we are glad to get him off the streets," added Smith.

Wolfe was not given bond. His case will be presented to the next grand jury. He is currently charged with murder, aggravated assault and armed robbery.
