CLINTON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Clinton Police say that they received a call on Wednesday at around 5:50 pm from a woman saying that she had come home from work and found her husband laying in the yard of their home.

"Police responded," said Clinton Police Chief Mike Warren. "They found the victim Bruce Moss, 62 year old white male, who apparently suffered from a wound from a shotgun."

Detectives say they identified several persons of interest in the case who had recently had disagreements with the victim and allegedly had made threats towards him.

The suspects were identified as 30-year-old Angela Watson, stepdaughter of the Moss, her boyfriend 18-year-old Frank Buckley and 30-year-old George Carroll. We are told that all 3 suspects lived together in a mobile home.

At around 9:30 Wednesday night, detectives interviewed the suspects.

They believe that the three suspects went to the victim's house with intentions of burglarizing his home.

When the victim confronted one of the suspects and chased them outside the home, one of the suspects shot the victim with a shotgun as he exited the house. Suspects then fled the scene.

Officials say the suspects were arrested and taken into custody in the early on Thursday morning.

The three suspects have been booked into the Clinton Jail on capitol murder charges.
