JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) - A new service provided by the Secretary of State's Office aims to not only locate your precinct, but also provide a copy of your ballot prior to Election Day.

“The most received call into our Office on Election Day is ‘Where do I vote?'” says Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann. “Now, you can find your precinct and preview your ballot prior to the General Election.”

Mississippians will now be able to enter their address and have instant access to Election Day information.

“We encourage voters to make educated choices at the polls,” adds Secretary Hosemann. “By searching our polling locator and reviewing the ballot provided, you will be able to educate yourself not only on the actual races on the ballot, but also on the candidates prior to Election Day.”

Here is how it works:

· Go to www.sos.ms.gov/pollingplace.

· Enter your address into the respective fields by following the instructions at the top of the page.

· The polling place locator will produce the address of your polling location, a Google map with directions to your polling place, your Circuit Clerk's contact information, and a sample ballot specific to your location.

The polling place locator was created at no additional expense to the taxpayer.
