 Are you looking to do something different on Halloween? 

The metro area has several events that will help make your Halloween spooktacular!

Lake Harbor Haunted House

The Lake Harbor Volunteer Fire Department will host their 14th annual haunted house on October 24, 25, 31, and November 1.

Each night the hours will be from dark until the last person walks through. Admission will be $5.00 per person with NO refunds. The concession stand will also be open for food and beverages. 

This year there will be a costume contest for all ages. The contest will take place on October 31.

 You will be automatically entered upon purchasing a ticket. The winner will take home a $25 Kroger gas card.

"A Monster of a Murder Mystery" Dinner Theater

When: Thursday, October 23 at 7 pm and Thursday, October 30 at 7 pm
Where: Hal & Mal's in Jackson and Rossini Cucina Italiana in Ridgeland
Cost: $48

Abby Normal and her Celebrity Monster Review are this year's entertainment for the 668th Annual All Hallows Eve Ball for Monsters and the Humans Who Love Them. 

Dress in costume and join Letch (Lurch's brother), Esmarelda (from Bewitched), Beetlejewz (stand-in for Beetlejuice), Kenny (zombie from Night of the Living Dead) and AB Normal (the Bride of Frankenstein) do a monstrous job butchering your favorite Halloween-themed songs plus some Top 40. 

Die Try along with the monsters to learn the Time Warp and Thriller line dances. And, laugh ghoulishly if you're the winner of the Halloween Costume Contest. 

Trouble brews when one of the cast is mysteriously murdered (again). One of the cast members doesn't stand a ghost of a chance when you solve the mystery. RSVP to http://Brownpapertickets.com for tickets to a show near you.

Eat Drink & Be Scary Halloween Costume Party

The event is on Friday Oct. 31 from 8 pm - midnight at the Agriculture and Forestry Museum in Sparkman Auditorium. Advanced tickets are $20. Please contact Alex Thomas (601)201-7284 to purchase tickets.

The Haunting of Old Town

The event will be on Thursday, Oct. 30 from 6 -8:30 pm. Crowd favorites such as cake walks, costume contests for all ages, and carnival style games will return for this year's event. 

There will be lots of candy and toys for everyone participating in the games and age appropriate prizes given to contest winners. 

The cost for this event is $2 per person or $1 and a canned good. The main entrance will be on Main Street at Jefferson St. This is where wristbands may be purchased.

Crossgates Fall Festival

The event is on Oct 30th - Oct 30th from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Crossgates Baptist Church. There will be food, candy, games, and inflatables. Free Admission.

Trunk or Treat 2014 

The event will be in Ridgeland at Freedom Ridge Park on Oct 30th from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Last year an estimated 5,500 children & parents attended. 

There will be carnival games, face painting, and trick-or-treating. 

$3 per child entry fee, 10 years and younger only. There is still time to sign up to decorate a vehicle & provide some treats for children.

Trunk-or Treat with Jackson PD

Come out on Thursday October 30 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Jackson Police Training Academy. And it's FREE! 

The Tomb of Doom 2014

The event is on  Friday October 31 through Saturday November 1 from 6:30 pm - 11:59 pm. It's located at 151 Old Rice Rd, Madison 

Admission is $6 per ticket AND Wing Stop will be selling wings on location. All profits will be donated to The Mustard Seed and Little Light House organizations.

Dark Zone 

This will be on Friday October 31 through Saturday November 1 from 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm at Crossgates Exchange Club Soccer Fields, Brandon, MS

Admission is $8 per person. A hay wagon or hearse will pick you up at the entrance gate and return you to there....IF YOU SURVIVE THE ZONE!!!

The net proceeds from this event benefit programs and charities supported by the Crossgates Exchange Club that include but are not limited to: The National Exchange Club Foundation for the Prevention of Child Abuse, Student Scholarships, The Exchange Club of Crossgates Frank Bridges Memorial Park and Local Americanism Projects

Pearl- Halloween night; no specific hours

Richland- Halloween night; no specific hours

Ridgeland- Halloween night; no specific hours

Vicksburg- Halloween night from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Hazlehurst- Oct. 30 from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Flowood- Halloween night; no specific hours

Madison- Halloween night; younger kids from 5:30 until dusk; teens from dusk until 9 p.m.

Florence- Halloween night; no specific hours

Raymond- Halloween night; no specific hours

Jackson- Halloween night; no specific hours
