Mississippi's ban on same-sex marriage challenged in federal court

A federal challenge to Mississippi's law banning same-sex marriage was filed today in the Southern District of Mississippi on behalf of two same-sex couples, - Andrea Sanders and Rebecca Bickett, and Jocelyn Pritchett and Carla Webb - and the Campaign for Southern Equality.

Plus, The Hinds County Emergency Management Agency says they are working very closely with the Mississippi State Department of Health, Mississippi Emergency Management Agency, Department of Environmental Quality and area hospitals to ensure the safety of the citizens and of first responders in the event that an Ebola case is confirmed.

Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham-Stewart says that the skeletal remains found in Terry on Saturday could belong to a woman who went missing back in April.
