FLORENCE, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

On Monday, Jimmy McGuire, a member of Jeopardy!'s Clue Crew, visited Mrs. Christman's 8th grade class at Florence Middle School to play Classroom Jeopardy!.

The Classroom Jeopardy! unit was donated to the school by Jeopardy! and WLBT.

Classroom Jeopardy! is an interactive computer system that allows educators to bring the familiar sights and sounds of Jeopardy! into the classroom. The teacher steps into the role of host, students sign in and pick up the infamous Jeopardy! buzzers to play the game on a classroom television or interactive white board.

Teachers may either use standardized games for their grade levels or they may write their own unique games covering material they are currently teaching.

According to Jeopardy, Classroom Jeopardy! has become such a hit with educators and students alike that it has already won all major awards for new school products.

It can be found in over 50,000 schools nationwide.
