Madison Central coaching legend to retire

Bobby Hall is one of the biggest names in Mississippi high school football.

The Madison Central head coach and athletic director has decided to retire at the end of the 2014 season. ESPN 105.9 The Zone first reported on Hall's decision on Thursday. Hall confirmed the news to WLBT via text.

The Baldwyn native is in his 8th season coaching the Jaguars.

Hall has coached at various levels for 35 years. He was a receivers and quarterbacks coach at Murray State, and even was the head coach for the Tupelo Fire Ants, a professional team.

Hall has won four state championships in his career (Louisville 1991, Amory, 1994, 1995, & 1998) along with having Madison Central as a consistent contender.

The Jaguars are 4-5 in 2014, 1-4 in 6A Region 2. MC hosts Northwest Rankin in our Friday Nite Lites/Sports Deck Game of the Week. Kickoff is at 7:00pm at Jaguar Stadium.
