CANTON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Two suspects wanted for the murder of a 13-year-old boy in Canton are now in custody. U.S. marshals apprehended 19-year old Teaonta Clark and 34-year-old Tony Clark in Dallas, Texas, and are holding them there, according to Canton police.

Investigators said the crime took place last Monday, when two men entered the Fat Boy convenience store and immediately opened fire, killing 13- year-old Muhammed Saeed and wounding his father.

“[I want] to thank the whole community to be here for me, and to thank the Canton Police Department,” said Fahd Saeed, the victim's father. “And also, I want them to get to the bottom of it, to get these guys what they deserve.”

Dozens of people offered their prayers and well wishes to Fahd Saeed Monday afternoon outside his store. Many customers hugged him, telling him they were glad those suspects are now behind bars.

“I've been coming to this store for a long time and I ain't never got nothing but love,” said customer Melvin Stevenson. “And his kid, that's like my kid. They'd always get along. This here, they should be punished.”

Now authorities here are waiting on the extradition process, which Canton Assistant Chief Juan Cloy said could be anywhere from one to two weeks.

Fahd Saeed said he's incredibly thankful to the U.S. Marshals Service and the Madison County Sheriff's Department as well.

He said he wants both suspects to face the death penalty once the case goes to trial.
