Head of MDOC stepping down

Commissioner Chris Epps is leaving his position as head of the Mississippi Department of Corrections after submitting his letter of resignation to the governor today.

Plus, the Stewpot Board voted unanimously to postpone the closing of two of its emergency shelters as requested by Jackson Mayor Tony Yarber and the Jackson City Council. The Mayor and the Council requested the extension through November 25th, allowing the city to decide if necessary funds can be found to keep the shelters open. 

And, Jackson police are looking for two men who shot up the S.L Quick Food Mart on Bounds Street, in northwest Jackson.

In sports, just a day away from the Sanderson Farms Championship and this week's PGA Tour features a Rebel and a Bulldog.
