JULIA'S FORECAST: Early AM Showers Clearing

Good Thursday Morning!

A cold front is passing through right now, and was the cause of our overnight showers. A few spotty bits of rain and drizzle will be leftover through the morning, but most are in the process of clearing. Still, keep an eye out south of I-20 for bits of drizzle during the AM commute.

It's a mild morning in the low and mid 60s, but we're not moving much from here! Although rain clears out by late morning and clouds fade away through the afternoon, sunshine won't serve to warm us much. Afternoon highs will only reach near 70. This is because cooler air from the northwest is in the process of filtering in behind the cold front.

Winds today will be breezy out of the northwest, up to 20mph. The breeze should ease overnight, and with clear skies that should allow temperatures to drop rapidly. Temperatures around suppertime will fall through the 50s; our Friday morning wake-up lows will be in the upper 30s.

Friday will be a beautiful-looking but cool-feeling afternoon! We'll have lots of sunshine and highs near 60! Much of the weekend looks to be on the cool side as well. Another cold front passes through on Saturday, bringing some extra cloud cover and perhaps one or two showers. Highs reach the mid 60s. Skies are sunny on Sunday and highs will be in the low 60s.
