BRANDON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

She has been the source of inspiration and determination. Graceyn Thrailkill was paralyzed when she was just a toddler, after her family's vehicle was hit by a drunk driver in 2008.

Friday at Brandon High School the softball team held a very special game for disabled children. Graceyn was one of the participants along with Antonio Wright who was also paralyzed in an accident. Her mom says after 12 surgeries, most in the last two years, this has been a great experience for Graceyn.

Holly Thrailkill said, " she's gotten to come out and watch these girls play the game, she's gotten to practice with them on the field, and she really enjoys throwing the ball, catching the ball and them teaching her how to hit and everything."

Graceyn hit a home run and her mother says the team has been a great support system for the family over the last year.
