WEST POINT, MS (Mississippi News Now) - West Point Fire Chief Johnny Littlefield, who had been with the fire department for 39 years, died Wednesday. Mayor Robbie Robinson says the 60-year-old Johnny Littlefield has been battling health issues for several months. The cause of death was not released.

Littlefield joined the West Point Fire Department on Feb. 12, 1976 and worked his way through the ranks until being named chief on May 10, 2001.
