JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) - Gospel choirs showed their talents to ultimately help foster children receive the greatest gift of all, a loving family.

It's all part of this year's Gospel Music Showcase at Christ United Methodist Church in Jackson.

The organization helps educate families about adoption and foster care.

"The Christian community has so much to offer for these young people, whether they're infants or teenagers, to give them a good home, provide them the needs, and they will flourish," church member Paul Matens said .Organizers

hoped to raise $100,000 at Saturday night's gospel showcase.
