JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) - Another warm day is slated for the Magnolia State! Afternoon highs will be in the mid 70's under a mix of sun and clouds. As we wait for the cold front to move in, we can expect winds out of the south, southeast up to 10-15 mph. Temperatures today will top out in the mid 70's. We'll stay dry today but then storms will start moving into our area after about 3:00 a.m. to noon.

There is a slight chance for seeing severe weather Sunday morning. We'll have torrential rain with some of these storms as they roll through but also the threat for strong winds in excess of 60 mph along with a limited threat for tornadoes. I expect all of this weather to move out of here by early to mid afternoon. The storms will be in the form of a line stretching from north to south and moving from west to east.

Cooler weather will return next week with highs in t50's50s a60's60s and lows back in t30's30s a40's40s, including a cool, but partly sunny Thanksgiving Day. The extended holiday weekend looks to be quite cold with highs in t40's40s and lows in the 20s.The normal high and low for this time of year is 66 and 42. ?
