Arrest made in Kosciusko hit and run

KOSCIUSKO, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

On Tuesday, investigators made an arrest in the case involving a hit and run collision that took place last Thursday in Kosciusko.

That accident left 38-year-old Timothy Parks dead. 

28-year-old Victoria L.Windom has now been taken into custody and charged with felony leaving the scene of an accident. 

A vehicle that Windom owns was located and processed for evidence by K.P.D. investigators. 

Windom was booked on the charges and transported to the Attala County Jail to await bond.

Parks body was found in a ditch on West Jefferson street around 8:40 Friday morning. 

Investigators believe he was walking on the road, when he was hit by a passing car the night before.
 
Leonard Parks says his son, Tim, suffered from mental illness and walked almost everywhere he went.
