No drive on part of I-55

Part of I-55N in Madison could be closed up to 11 hrs

Happy "hump day" and it's a cool and cloudy Wednesday afternoon in the Jackson metro area. I'm Howard Ballou with a look at some of the news stories you will see on WLBT.

The right lane of I-55 north bound at Exit 105C in Madison could be closed for up to 11 hours or until the area is clear, according to MDOT, after an 18-wheeler ran off of the interstate and overturned in the median, spilling its chemical contents this morning.

Plus, the Mississippi State Department of Health says that they have seen an increase in flu activity throughout the state over the past several weeks.

And, two men have been arrested in connection with the death of a Hurley woman, according to Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell.

In sports, Brad Peterson will leave Brandon to become the new Madison Central head coach.

Mostly clear skies and 51 degrees. Watch your full First Alert Forecast for more weather information.
