JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) - A Jackson man, working security at Dogwood Festival Mall, is in the Rankin County jail on a contempt of court charge out of Florence tonight, and Flowood police want to know how he got the security job. That's because the man, 24-year-old Tavon Dorsey-Hurtt, has a lengthy criminal history.

Female employees of The Gap clothing store, in Flowood, reported to police that Dorsey-Hurtt was making them uncomfortable.

Flowood officers ran a check and discovered the outstanding warrant on Dorsey-Hurtt; then turned him over to Florence police.

If his name sounds familiar, that's because we reported back in August that Dorsey-Hurtt was found hiding in the attic of an Archer Avenue home in south Jackson and arrested on charges of passing bad checks and cashing stolen checks.

He also had legal trouble in Maryland and Florida.
