PETAL, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The Petal Police Department made one boy very happy this week.

Some officers spent the afternoon with their new friend Justin. 

According to the Petal Police Dept.'s Facebook page, Justin said that he wanted "to meet a police officer" for his Christmas present this year. 

Sgt. Bounds, Officer Justin Yawn and Officer Lance Smith went to visit Justin and gave him some official police gear. They also let him sit in a police car and Officer Smith demonstrated some skills of his K9 Boris.

What a great Christmas surprise for Justin all thanks to these kind officers.
