JULIA'S FORECAST: Heavier AM rain turns to drizzle

Good morning!

It's a damp start to the work week as rain and fog hang around through the morning commute. The air has a warm feel to it though- we're seeing that warmth surging over us from the Gulf of Mexico. It's short lived though. The rain we're seeing push through this morning is ahead of a cold front. Once the rain ends our winds will shift and become more northwesterly and temperatures will slowly come down through the day.

By midday the majority of the rain will have ended, although there will likely be some drizzle and fog lingering. Temperatures decrease hour by hour today, with much of the afternoon spent in the low and mid 50s.

Some drizzle and light rain will linger through the overnight. This won't be a problem for most, but there is a small possibility for light freezing rain in the Delta. Clouds are stubborn for the next few days as moisture continues to be abundant in our air aloft. The high temps will be cooler though for both Tuesday and Wednesday, in the mid 40's. The sun doesn't make a full comeback until Thursday!
