Five men from Mississippi have been arrested by the FBI on federal drug charges after a two year joint investigation.
They are believed to members or associates of the Black Gangster Disciples Street Gang.They were taken into custody early this morning in George County.
Four are from Lucedale and one is from Pascagoula.
All are charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine.They appeared before a U.S. district judge in Gulfport on Tuesday and will remain in jail, pending a detention hearing scheduled for Thursday.
FBI agents also arrested 2 people in Mobile, Alabama.
